With today’s faster pace of technological advancements, there is increasing urgency for government agencies and enterprises to meet the shifting expectations of collaborators in ever evolving co-ideation and creation processes. Furthermore, for the public sector, the litmus test and real worth of intangible assets are intricately linked to their abilities to generate societal and commercial benefits.
In recognition of these trends, the National IP Protocol was launched in April 2018. The Protocol provides both impetus and flexibility for public agencies to engage each other, as well as enterprises, with the aim of achieving better returns from government investment into R&D.
The 5th Community of Practice on IP Management brings together a panel of esteemed experts from overseas for members to raise issues, exchange views and challenge assumptions in valuation, licensing and commercialisation.
